Common questions
Questions to settle before lodgement
These are the practical issues we usually clarify before a matter is treated as ready.
Which skilled visas usually use SkillSelect?
Skilled Independent 189, Skilled Nominated 190 and Skilled Work Regional 491 applicants usually submit an Expression of Interest through SkillSelect before invitation.
Is meeting 65 points enough to guarantee an invitation?
No. Meeting the minimum points threshold does not guarantee an invitation. Occupation demand, nomination settings and the applicant's competitive points position still matter.
What should be ready before submitting an EOI?
Occupation eligibility, skills assessment, English results, points claims and nomination strategy should be checked before the EOI is relied on.
