Who can get New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Subclass 461 Visa?
Eligibility requirements:
- You are not a New Zealand citizen and you are not an Australian citizen.
- You are a member of the family unit of a New Zealand citizen who is not an eligible New Zealand citizen.
- Your New Zealand citizen family member is not an eligible New Zealand citizen (New Zealand citizens who were in Australia on or before 26 February 2001)
- Your New Zealand citizen family member holds a Special Category visa subclass 444 in Australia, or will travel with you and be granted a subclass 444 visa on arrival.
- Consider adequate health insurance because you are personally liable for healthcare costs while in Australia.
This visa allows the applicant to live, work and study in Australia for 5 years.
How to Stay longer on the New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship Subclass 461 visa ?
You may be able to apply for another subclass 461 visa if you continue to meet the family relationship requirements or if you meet the specific former-family-member rules:
- You continue to be a member of the family unit of a New Zealand citizen who holds a subclass 444 visa or will travel with you and be granted one.
- You previously held a subclass 461 visa, are no longer a member of the family unit of the person linked to that visa, and have not become a member of another family unit.
