A business person looking to attain a permanent Business Skills Visa, the Investor Visa must be attained first. Investors choosing an investment agree to invest for at least four years. This visa is for people under the age of 45.

Investor visa allows the holder to make an investment in Australia. It is valid for four years. The investor is able to enter and leave Australia at any time before the visa expires. The visa has an entry expiration, so first entry must be made before that date.
This visa does allow the holder to bring his/her family to Australia. Family members include a partner, dependent children or dependent children of the partner or any other dependent relatives living in the same home as the visa holder.
This visa is an entry stage to citizenship for people looking to establish business in Australia.. Investor visa holders may be eligible to apply for permanent residence after meeting the obligations of their visa for at least 2 years.
Eligibility:
- In order to apply for this visa the investor must be less than 45 years of age.
- Must notified the appropriate regional authority of a state or territory of your intention to develop a business in that State or Territory
- Have made a government approved Designated Investment of $1,500,000 in a state or territory of Australia for four years The amount should be transferred to Australia within a reasonable time frame.
- The applicant should have vocational level English.
- The investor should have a proven business career.
1. Managing a business with personal (or including a partner)
- • 51% ownership in a turnover of less than AUD400,000 annually
- • 30% ownership in a turnover of AUD400,000 or more annually
- • 10% ownership for a publicly listed business
(this should be proven in at least one out of the five most recent fiscal years)
2. Direct management of investments (personal or with a partner) totaling at least AUD1,500,000.
3. Successful business record including investments and activity.
4. Three years total of direct management of a main business or investment.
6. Clean business and investment record.
7. Net value of your (or you and your spouse's combined) assets should be at least $2,250,000 for the two fiscal years immediately before applying for this visa.
Additionally, the investor must meet health and character requirements to enter the country. The investor agree to the Australian Vales Statement.
