Business Owner Visa Australia

Business owner visa is for successful owners or part-owners of a new or existing business in Australia.

Business Owner visa is a provisional visa, is valid for 4 years and visa holders may be eligible to apply for permanent residence after meeting the obligations of their visa for at least 2 years. However in some cases it may take more than 2 years.

Eligibility criteria for Business Owner Visa

• Business Owner must be under the age of 45
• Have a vocational level of English
• Have notified the appropriate regional authority of your intention to develop a business in that State or Territory.
• Demonstrate a successful business career with significant turnover and a commitment to owning a business in Australia.
• Submit a detailed business proposal with their visa application and demonstrate that they have sufficient assets to settle in Australia.
• Have a commitment to maintain an ownership interest in a business in Australia with direct and continuous involvement in management of that business which requires you to live in Australia on a temporary basis.
• Have not been engaged in a business where the provision of professional, technical or trade services took up more than 50% of your time and you (or your spouse) have never been involved in unacceptable business activities.

This visa allows the applicant and all immediate family members included in the visa application to live, work and study in Australia. Applicants over 45 years of age, but less than 55, may qualify for the State/Territory Sponsored Business Owner (Provisional) visa, which has a lower financial requirement.
